Quality Safety Program Empowers Nurses, Benefits Patients and Staff

Abstract

Empowering nurses to become leaders in patient safety is the focus of a new Quality Safety Investigator Program designed by nursing faculty at the University of Kansas Hospital (Kansas City).  This novel approach is touted as a way to encourage nurses to take leading roles in championing patient safety, which will not only benefit health care consumers, but health care professionals as well.  Learn more about this program in the Health Leaders Media article by Heather Comak.
