Abstract
A Webinar Briefing with IOM Committee Member Jennie Chin Hansen
On October 19, 2010, representatives from national and state-based nursing, health care, consumer, business, education, labor and other organizations joined CCNA Chief Strategist Susan Reinhard for an exclusive briefing on the Future of Nursing Recommendations. Participants were members of the Center to Champion Nursing in America's (CCNA) Champion Nursing Coalition, Champion Nursing Council, and state teams.
Leading the briefing was Jennie Chin Hansen, IOM committee member; chief executive officer for the American Geriatrics Society; former AARP board president. Also in attendance at this briefing was Sue Hassmiller, PhD, RN, FAAN, senior adviser for nursing at the Robert Wood John Foundation (RWJF) and director of the RWJF Initiative on the Future of Nursing, at the IOM.
