Sen. Durbin Proposes Legislation Aimed at Building Nursing Workforce and Preparing More Nurse Faculty

Today, Senator Richard Durbin (D-Ill.) introduced the Nurse Training and Retention Act designed to encourage non-nurses working in the current health care workforce to pursue a nursing degree. Additionally, the legislation supports nurses returning to school to gain the advanced degrees necessary to become nursing faculty.
