RWJF Initiative on the Future of Nursing at the IOM December 2009 Forum Summary Released

The RWJF Initiative on the Future of Nursing at the IOM has released the workshop summary of the second, in a series of three forums. The December forum, held at the Community College of Philadelphia, continued the examination of the challenges facing the nursing profession: care in the community, community health, public health, primary care, and long-term care. A free, electronic version of the Forum summary can be downloaded from www.iom.edu/nursing. The free summary of the first forum can be downloaded here. The IOM will use the perspectives and ideas summarized from the three forum summaries to inform a final report on the future of nursing, expected to be released in October 2010.
