Nurse Edge Runners Lead National Models of Care

The American Academy of Nursing (AAN) recently announced three new Edge Runners for its Raise the Voice campaign. Raise the Voice Board Co-Chair Diana Mason, PhD, RN, FAAN, describes this new group as “nurses who have developed innovative models of care with excellent clinical and financial outcome data.” These innovations, developed in response to unmet health care needs, could be replicated nationally as part of efforts to transform America’s health care delivery system. Learn more about the three models of care: One Year Post-Baccalaureate Nurse Residency Program, designed by Colleen Goode, PhD, RN, FAAN, NEA-BC, and Cathleen Krsek, MSN, MBA, RN; Creating Opportunities for Parent Empowerment (COPE) program created by second time winner Bernadette Melnyk, PhD, RN, CPNP/PMHNP, FAAN, FNAP; Caregiver Skill Building Intervention (CSBI), designed by Carol Farran, DNSc, RN, FAAN.
