New Web Site Launched to Help Nurses Play Key Roles in Increasing Vaccination Rates

SILVER SPRING, MD – The American Nurses Association (ANA) is contributing to national efforts to dramatically lower the number of vaccine-preventable diseases through its new Bringing Immunity to Every Community project. According to ANA, nurses should, and will, play a vital role in making this project a success.  One of the primary goals of this partnership between the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases and ANA is to increase the knowledge and competency of the nation’s 3.1 million registered nurses in immunization.

The recently launched website, www.ANAimmunize.org, will be a one-stop shop for resources nurses need to be competent and educated on how to best support this new immunization initiative.
