Nursing Schools Encouraged to Apply for RWJF’s New Careers in Nursing Program Grants

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation New Careers in Nursing Program grant funds are available to institutions that offer entry-level accelerated baccalaureate nursing programs or master’s nursing programs for non-nursing college graduates; and are accredited by a nursing accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The goal of the New Careers in Nursing Program, one of the many programs funded through RWJF, is to provide monetary incentive to colleges and universities to build and continue programs that will produce enough nurses to stem the looming shortage tide and increase the diversity of nursing professionals. Deadline for applications and supporting documentation is December 15, 2010 (3 p.m. ET.) Learn more details here.
