House Committee Approves Funding for Nursing Education

In its spending budget for fiscal year 2010, the House Appropriations Committee included an additional $137 million over last year in nursing education funds. The bill contains $530 million for reducing the health care work force shortage and $92 million is earmarked for educating and training nurses in all areas of health care.
