HHS Seeks Public Input on Proposed National Health Care Quality Strategy and Plan

The Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has issued a request for public comment on all aspects of the proposed structure, principles, conceptualization, and specific details of the National Quality Strategy.

As required by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, the HHS must submit an initial strategy to Congress by Jan. 1, 2011 that includes feedback from the public.

Comments may be submitted online at http://www.hhs.gov/news/reports/quality/nhcqsap.html or emailed to national_quality_strategy@hhs.gov.

Written comments may also be submitted to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, Attention: Nancy Wilson - Room 3216, 540 Gaither Road Rockville, MD 20850 or faxed to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, Attention: Nancy Wilson at (301) 427-1210.

All comments must be received no later than 5 p.m. on October 15, 2010.
