CCNA Chief Strategist Named to National Advisory Council for Nursing Research

Susan Reinhard, PhD, RN, FAAN, CCNA’s chief strategist and AARP senior vice president and director of the AARP Public Policy Institute, has been appointed to the National Advisory Council for Nursing Research (NACNR) by U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius.  NACNR is the principal advisory board for the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR). Dr. Reinhard is a nationally recognized expert in nursing and health policy, with extensive experience in translating research and developing coalitions to promote policy change.

Susan Hassmiller, PhD, RN, FAAN, RWJF senior advisor for nursing, applauded Seblelius’ choice of Reinhard, saying that the Secretary had “chosen well.” Read the full RWJF article and the NIH.gov announcement.
