RWJF/IOM to hold Second Forum on the Future of Nursing

Event Date:
Dec 3, 2009
Location:
Community College of Philadelphia (PA)

The second of three nationwide forums being held by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Initiative on the Future of Nursing at the Institute of Medicine (IOM) will take place December 3 at the Community College of Philadelphia. This meeting will focus on nursing across community health, public health, primary care, and long-term care settings. The first forum, held in October in Los Angeles, focused on nursing across acute care settings. The final forum, on nursing education, takes place in Houston (TX) in February 2010.

Individuals and organizations are encouraged to submit written submissions—which might include innovations/models and barriers/opportunities in the areas such as community health, public health, primary care, and long term care—to help shape the forum’s discussion and the committee’s deliberations.
