The third, and final, of three nationwide forums held by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Initiative on the Future of Nursing, at the Institute of Medicine (IOM) is scheduled for February22, 2010, at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. This forum will focus on issues related to nursing and interdisciplinary education. The first forum, held in October 2009 in Los Angeles, focused on nursing across acute care settings. The second forum, held in Philadelphia, reached out to the community for a discussion on public health, primary care, and long-term care.
