Applications Now Being Accepted for HRSA's 2010 Nurse Faculty Loan Program

The Health Resources and Services Administration's  Division of Nursing is now accepting applications for funding through its Nurse Faculty Loan Program (NFLP).  The 2010 NFLP funding opportunity will be used to award both the regular NFLP appropriation and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)-NFLP funding.  Applicants may apply to one or both of these funding requests using this single program guidance.  The ARRA funding option will be addressed during Phase 2 of the application process.

HRSA Announces Availability of Equipment to Enhance Training for Health Professionals (EETHP) Grants

This initiative, which includes multiple programs, provides grant funds for the purchase of health professions training equipment. There are 21 health professions training programs from Titles III, VII and VIII of the Public Health Service Act that fall under this initiative. Each program has limited eligible activities that are described in their respective announcements.

The Health Resources and Services Administration’s Division of Nursing has announced the fiscal year 2010 funding opportunity for the Advanced Education Nursing (AEN) Program.

The program announcement number for AEN is HRSA-10-065.  The CFDA number is 93.247.

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Evaluating Innovations in Nursing Education is a program that was created to support evaluations of interventions that expand teaching capacity or promote faculty recruitment and retention in nursing schools. The program's focus is on increasing the number of nursing school graduates by evaluating strategies that address the nurse faculty shortage.
